In days like these, It’s not always easy to make sure all the bills are paid on time. Sure you could ask for a raise, but you don’t need me to tell you that your boss isn’t always a very generous one.
But there are ways that anyone can build up a little extra cash when the need arises. All you need to do is take a look around your living space. I’m sure you can find at least 3 things to get some extra dough.
1. A New Set Of Wheels: Do you have an old bike laying around? Remember that old bike that got you around for a few weeks before you ditched it for the convenience of your car? I can guarantee that someone else can put it to good use. And they’ll be happy to pay more than a fair price for it. Maybe it just needs a wash or the tire is flat.
By making a few minor repairs, it can be running much better than the last time you dug it out of the garage. Take a quick phone picture and put up on any online auction site. There are even private businesses who will sell it for you. Before long, that old bike will be out if your hands in exchange for cold hard cash.
2. The Same Old Threads:
I’m not saying to barter off your new designer jeans or bags. But why not fatten your wallet by getting rid of those clothes you don’t wear anymore. Or what about those Xmas and birthday sweaters Grandma keeps getting you?
Don’t throw them away, take them to a used clothing shop. Many shops will be glad to take your used clothes off your hands. Some will even give you a bit extra if they are brand named. So get those old clothes out of the closet and put them into your pocketbook. It’s nice to clear out the old clutter every now and then.
3. Get Paid while Doing Nothing: It’s one thing for your job to pay you for hours worked. It’s another thing to get paid over and over for something that you did only once. Do this by renting out a spare room. It’s something that doesn’t require much effort, and you can earn steady money month after month.
Finding a tenant doesn’t have to be a hassle either. A local tenant agency can put you in touch with prospective clients, or you can post a flier at a local college to get the word out. That in itself can earn you hundreds of dollars a month that can be used for those monthly expenses that always come up.
Making extra money doesn’t always have to be hard work, It just takes a different type of thinking. With these tips you will be able to see new things in your home that can add up to extra dollar signs at the end of the month. And that in itself could be a life-changing experience.
