On Monday night, the Collier County School District is hosting a symposium for parents to make sure their kids are using the internet safely.
The pandemic increased the amount of screen time for everyone, and now that school is nearly out for the summer, parents should monitor how much time their kids spend online.
“We know that children are spending more time on screens, on devices online,” said Chad Oliver, spokesman for CCSD. “And we want to equip parents with resources and insight from experts to help them navigate the digital world.”
There will be representatives from the FBI, the Collier County Sheriff’s Office and the David Lawrence Center participating. The symposium takes place at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Administrative Center, located at 5775 Osceola Trail, at 6 p.m. If you would like to watch this event online, visit the Collier schools website.
