If you do searches online for free things, you may notice there are hundreds of sites that have long lists of free goods and services offered. But as they say, “nothing in life is free” and you can apply the same rule to your online experience as well. That is not to say that you won’t find some great offers and often times some things that are very close to free online, but there is always a catch. Here, I’m going to explain to you how to get free things online, or perhaps I should rephrase that, get almost free stuffs with the least amount of effort.
Generally speaking, there are two types of free offers you’ll find online. The first type is free samples offered by the manufacturers that are available for a very limited time. These offers are hard to come by and you’ll need lots of luck to find them on time. One thing to note is that you should be very careful about products that guarantee a free trial. They assure you that you will get X days to try their product out, but they won’t tell you that the trial period begins as soon as you click that order tab and not on the day when the product arrives. My advice is to stay away from those products, but if you try them out for some reason, just make sure you read all the TOS and don’t get a surprise charge on your credit card.
The second type of free offer is the type that requires you to complete certain requirements to be eligible for free goods, service, or free gift cards. These requirements are often signing up for free trial of goods and services. You’ll also be asked to complete few surveys, but they are generally easy to complete. The free goods that are valued less than $200 usually have only a handful of requirements. The high valued free goods requirements can take hours to complete. Time is money and that means these offers are almost free and not quite completely free.
Be sure to write down all the important dates, the sign up day, the requirements sign up dates, and the date you expect to get your free thing or things. The free trials that are generally on the requirements for these offers will have a trial period and if you exceed the time frame you will end up paying for it. I am not advising you to cancel or return anything, you may keep the free trial goods if you wish to, but just don’t forget to return or cancel them on time if the goods or service is not right for you.
The Terms of Service and Participation Terms are generally very brief and to the point on these offers, so please do bother to read all of them thoroughly. Follow the tips provided on this article and get free things with the least amount of effort.
