Perhaps that “books for sale” is a little too broad, but how about “children’s books for sale?” I could even go a step further and make it “children’s dog books”. Now I’m truly in a “focused” niche, and I have a chance to make an impact, and get a good amount of Internet traffic.
This has worked for me in the past, as it was just a confidence builder to get the ball rolling so to speak, and at the same time, make some money. Take “baby steps” at first when you are just starting out. Improving your Internet business will be a marathon and not a sprint.
Tip3-Think About Advertising On The Web
Believe it or not, there are many advertising venues on the Internet, and many of them are eager to take your hard earned money. One of the biggest advertising campaigns you could engage in is “Google AdWords.” In short, Google will place an ad for you in relation to your business niche on those first result pages we talked about. The next time you type in a search in Google, take a look at the first page.
If it is an active niche, (i.e., Buy Laptop), you will see some highlighted results on the top of the page, and on the right side of the page, other paid advertisements. Those businesses, are paying for that “ad placement”, and in reality, they are paying quite well. If you are thinking about utilizing “Google AdWords”, we highly recommend that you purchase several books and do extensive research on the topic. If you don’t know what you are doing with this method of advertising and acquiring targeted traffic, then you might as well just write Google a check for nothing.
Another form of advertising that we have been utilizing is “Craigslist” This has truly been an effective, (and cheap) form of advertising that we have been having good results with.
