Binge watching cat videos has become a national past time for procrastinators and cat aficionados alike.

Cats like Grumpy Cat, Lil’ Bub and Merlin the record-breaking purrer have exceeded their 15 minutes of fame with the help of the Internet and YouTube. People just can’t get enough cute or crazy cat behavior caught on video.

Now felines have their own globe-trotting traveling film festival and it makes its Florida debut Saturday night in St. Petersburg at ARTpool Gallery at 2030 Central Avenue. The event begins at 8:00 p.m.

The SPCA Tampa Bay joined forces with ARTpool to host this event hoping to unite art lovers and cat fanciers alike for a charitable cause.

There will be animal-themed art projections from local artist David Meeks and acrobats dressed as cats. This is followed by a 70-minute cat video reel that is guaranteed to make you squeal with glee. The night is capped off with an animal-themed fashion show with dogs and models dressed as cats on the runway.
