A recent report conducted by Twitter has revealed the most tweeted about moments from Harry Styles’ solo career, which including boas, Vogue and Lizzo.
Twitter’s Head of Music Partnerships, Kevin O’Donnell spoke about Styles’ influence on the social media platform.
“It’s been incredible to see how the conversation around Harry Styles has evolved and the excitement around Harry’s House, as well as to have the opportunity to celebrate his fans on Twitter and put a spotlight on what they’re saying,” he said.
Twitter took a look at what performances, fashion moments, and songs were talked about most on the social media platform. The report was released this week, ahead of Styles’ third studio album, Harry’s House, which drops on Friday. Twitter also unveiled wall murals that displayed tweets from Styles fans in Los Angeles and New York City.
Styles’ album announcement has reached over 1 million likes and over 10 million tweets mention Harry since the announcement—with Twitter reporting that on average, every Harry fan tweeted about the new album at least twice.
During release week, the top three most-tweeted about songs were “As It Was,” “Sign of the Times” and “Fine Line.” “As It Was” was the first single off Harry’s House. “Sign of the Times” was the first single off Styles’ self-titled debut album released in 2017. “Fine Line” comes from Styles’ 2019 album of the same name.
Styles is well known to make bold fashion statements and has embraced his own style over the years. The most-tweeted about moment was being the first solo male on the cover of Vogue in 2020. Next, when Styles walked the red carpet of the 2019 Met Gala in Gucci. The third most-tweeted moment was when Harry wore a leather suit and boa while performing at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
Thanks to Styles wearing a bright green boa, tweets regarding boas peaked after his Grammy performance. After the awards, the amount of tweets featuring the word boa grew fivefold.
