Chavo Guerrero Jr. Comments About Seth Rollins Attack — & The Internet Isn’t Having It

Professional wrestler Chavo Guerrero Jr. might come from a long history of wrestling royalty, but there was nothing noble about the comments the former WWE champion made after WWE superstar Seth Rollins was attacked by a fan during a live show Monday night (November 22).

Rollins was walking back to the locker room after his Monday night Raw match at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn when a fan came out of nowhere, ran toward him and launched his body at him causing Rollins to hit the ground.

Rollins was able to control the situation, putting the attacker in a headlock before refs and WWE security stepped in to subdue the man and remove him from the scene. Guerrero took the scary moment as an opportunity to ridicule Rollins.

“Remember when the wrestlers were tougher than the fans?” Guerrero tweeted. “Ah, the good ol’ days.”

The comment didn’t sit well with most wrestling fans who quickly responded to Guerrero with some of their own choice words.

Many countered Guerrero’s bad take by turning his tweet against him and asking if anyone remembered when he was relevant to the industry.

Others pointed out that the unscripted interaction between a wrestler and a fan could have played out a lot worse than it did.

The fan who attacked Rollins was identified by NYPD early Tuesday (November 23) as 24-year-old Brooklyn resident Elisah Spencer. Apparently, Spencer left his seat at the Barclays Center and jumped over a barricade to get access to Rollins. He faces attempted assault charges and charges for disrupting a live sporting event.
