Beekman 1802, the farm and lifestyle brand in Sharon Springs founded by “Amazing Race” winners Josh Kilmer-Purcell and Brent Ridge, is hosting a series of outdoor dinners at the 60-acre farm for what is being called “the world’s largest restaurant.” Running on four Fridays starting this week (June 26 and July 3, 10 and 17), the dinners each feature menus by different restaurants: Friday, Brimstone Bakery of Sharon Springs; July 3, Black Cat Cafe of Sharon Springs; July 10, Miners Table of Herkimer; July 17, The Log House of Sharon Springs.
The meals will be served at different scenic spots around the Beekman 1802 farm, with participants notified of a date change several days in advance if necessitated by an inclement forecast. Guests can also shop the Beekman 1802 Mercantile and receive a guided tour of the farm and gardens. Only five tables of two are available per dinner, at $200 per table, including food, alcohol and other beverages, tax and tip. Inquire or reserve by emailing [email protected].
Ridge said, “We quickly realized that the demand for a special evening out would surpass our capabilities, but hope the idea inspires similar initiatives in other towns across the country. As we always say, great things can happen when communities come together.”
