The League of Women Voters will be hosting absentee ballot notarizing and voter registration at branches of the Springfield-Greene County library.
The LWV will be setting up in the parking lots to help maintain social distancing while assisting voters with the offered services.
The services will be offered:
- Tuesday, June 30, Library Station, 8:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. 2535 N. Kansas Expressway; and the Midtown Carnegie Branch, 2-6 p.m., 397 E. Central St.
- Thursday, July 2, Schweitzer Brentwood Branch, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., 2214 Brentwood Blvd.; and the Willard Branch, 2-6 p.m., 304 E. Jackson St.
Voter registration services include new registration; name changes; or changes of address.
If you are voting absentee, you will need to have your mail-in ballot notarized unless you meet one of the following criteria:
- You expect to be confined due to illness or disability, or are caring for someone who is.
- You are at risk for one of the following reasons: 65 years or older, in a long-term care facility, or if you have chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma, a serious heart condition, diabetes, liver disease or are immunocompromised.
Ballots must be received by the Greene County Clerk by 7 p.m. on August 4, 2020.
