SEATTLE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Archeo Futurus and H5 Data Centers announced today that the Seattle Internet Exchange (“SIX”) is now directly available at 1000 Denny Way, H5 Data Centers’ downtown Seattle data center. The SIX is a non-profit, neutral Internet exchange that provides access to more than 300 Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs). As one of the world’s leading Internet exchanges, the SIX currently supports more than 1.2 terabits of peak traffic with a connected capacity of more than 7 terabits.
H5 Data Centers, a leading national wholesale data center owner and operator, owns the 293,000 square-foot facility in Seattle where it completed a significant data center expansion last year. Archeo Futurus is an H5 Data Centers customer who will manage and support the SIX extension.
“Seattle is one of the world’s largest peering points,” said Daniel Kluss, founder of Archeo Futurus. “We look forward to supporting the SIX community by adding an additional extension switch option at H5 Data Centers’ Seattle facility.”
H5 Data Centers’ CEO Josh Simms added, “The extension of the SIX platform to 1000 Denny Way strengthens our existing interconnection ecosystem. 1000 Denny will now support access to unique long haul fiber routes, competitive metro fiber carriers, and one of the world’s leading peering exchanges.”
