Ariana Grande seems to be handling her breakup with ex-fiancé Pete Davidson in stride. The singer was photographed in New York on Sunday carrying two oversize Chanel shopping bags that together looked as if they could hold at least three full-size Ariana Grande clones (thigh-high boots and ponytails included).
Last week, Grande announced that she would be taking an Internet hiatus, telling her fans via Instagram Stories, “Time to say bye bye again to the internet for just a lil bit. It’s hard not to bump news n stuff that I’m not trying to see rn. It’s very sad and we’re all tryin very hard to keep going. love u. and thank u for bein here always.” After only a few days, though, she felt compelled to reach out via Twitter, writing on Monday, “also i see some of y’all making fun of my forehead ! sorry i have a big forehead ! at least i’m cute and don’t make fun of other ppl’s foreheads ! suck my dick ttyl.”
She later deleted that tweet and amended her message to: “my session got moved til later so i’m back n wanted to say ily one more time even tho y’all hate my forehead.”
She spent the next few hours reaching out to fans and even revealing that she may be going on tour to promote her latest album, Sweetener after all. In a response to a tweet asking her if she feels ready to tour, she replied, “i’m ready. my heart needs it actually. finalizing a few more things but i’m tryna get em dates to u asap.”
As for Davidson, he also broke his silence on the breakup during a stand-up set for a benefit he hosted alongside Judd Apatow in Los Angeles on Saturday.
“Well, as you could tell, I don’t want to be here,” he told the crowd. “There’s a lot going on. Does anybody have any open rooms? Looking for a roommate?”
Maybe he would benefit from his own trip to his nearest convenient Chanel boutique.
