A number of Barclaycard customers are experiencing issues with its digital banking services this morning.
The bank’s online banking facility has been down since 7am on Friday, according to website Downdetector.
This includes 62% of people reporting issues with internet banking while 20% are having connection problems while accessing their mobile banking.
A Barclaycard spokesperson said: “We’re aware that a small number of our customers are currently having trouble logging into their Barclaycard account online. We’re working to resolve this as quickly as possible.”
It’s advised customers who are unable to access their accounts to try the Barclaycard app, or telephone banking instead – we’ve run through your options below.
There might be a problem with your computer or connection, rather than Barclaycard’s online banking. So don’t give up straight away.
You can head here to ask a question about logging on at the Barclaycard help centre.
There’s also the status section of the Barclay’s website – that lets you know at a glance if there are problems the bank is aware of. You can also use it to see when things are resolves.
A quick way to check if it’s a bigger problem than just you is to head to the Barclays Help twitter page where they respond to customer’s questions.
If there’s a problem, you can bet they’ll be responding to customers. You could even ask questions yourself if you have a twitter account.
Try the app
If you can’t log on as normal, try the Barclaycard banking app – or even download it to your phone or tablet if you don’t already have it.
Make sure you have the latest version and if you still have problems try restarting your phone too.
Using the app gets round problems specific to the website, broadband or your computer.
The Barclaycard online banking app lets you pay bills, check balances, transfer money and more.
If you’re still having problems, pick up the phone, you can talk to an adviser Monday to Sunday 7am-11pm. Barclaycard’s customer services number is 0800 151 0900.
Head to a branch or cash machine
If all you need is something simple like a balance check, any cash machine should be able to display it on screen.
If that’s not enough, you can head to a branch from around 9:30am today.
You can search for your nearest Barclays branch here.
