It should be common knowledge by now that Betty White is a national treasure and she must be protected at all costs.

If you are not familiar with who THE Betty White is, well, welcome to “Betty White University.”

She is a famous actress with a career spanning over eight decades (80 years). She has starred in famous TV shows like “The Golden Girls,” “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” “Cougar Town,” in addition to movies like, “The Proposal.”

Betty is 99-years-YOUNG and the last living ‘Golden Girl.’ She will celebrate her 100th birthday on January 17.

I am here to report to you that Betty is OKAY! I repeat, Betty is alive, well and OKAY.

She is simply trending because… well, she’s a national treasure.  How many times do I have to repeat this?!?

This person knew the assignment tweeting, “Just about every 4 months Betty White is trending for no reason yet it gives me a little heart attack each time.”

“Betty White should be blocked from trending. My heart can’t take it,” wrote another fan who feels exactly the same way I do.

This person definitely agrees that there needs to be some type of compromise on Twitter’s end, for the sake of the world, when Betty’s name starts trending.

“Can we all petition Twitter to automatically put a “she’s okay” caption whenever Betty White suddenly starts trending? Please?”

According to WFLA, Choice Mutual Insurance Agency is looking to pay someone $1k to bing 10 hours of her best work in honor of her centennial celebration.

“We’re looking for someone who adores Betty White,” the company said. “This candidate is probably already planning to binge 10 hours of her classics, but now they get paid to do it!”

According to the official job posting, the lucky winner will have 24 hours to binge 10 hours of her best work, and they will have do document their Betty White binge-watching experience on social media.
