Bronco Motors applies to take over old Boise, ID Internet Autio

In late 2019, we told you about the sale of Internet Auto Rent and Sales at 10175 W. Fairview Ave. — and its abrupt closure just a few months later.

In 2020, Trininty Mountain LLC, controlled by Bronco Motors CEO Grant Petersen Jr., purchased the property from former Internet Auto owner John Stephens. Now, Bronco Motors has applied with the City of Boise to open a new dealership on the property.

“Bronco Motors Inc. purchase (sic) this property in July of 2020 with plans to open an additional automotive dealership,” Bronco Motors VP Operations Thayne Fisher wrote in a letter to the City of Boise. “At this time, we would like to move forward with opening a used car store at this location.”

Bronco Motors will make some upgrades and changes to the facade and inside of the building for the used car store. The 34,873 square foot building dates to 1981, and served as an Ernst Home & Garden store until the mid-1990s, when the chain folded. In 2006, Internet Auto expanded from Reno to open a store in Boise.

Bronco Motors operates six locations across Ada and Canyon County, with brands including Hyundai, Nissan, Mitsubishi, and Infiniti.
