Cox Communications launches Connect Assist initiative

In an effort to support people who are in need of affordable internet, Cox Communications has launched Connect Assist,  a reduced price internet initiative that can be provided to people who qualify for government assistance programs such as SNAP, WIC, Medicaid and more.

The program, introduced Nov. 16, was created to help people transition to the increased emphasis on virtual environment that the COVID-19 pandemic presented.

“I think with the pandemic hitting last year, we saw the need for people to get connected. With so many people going to work from home and school from home, we needed to find a way to get people connected and then find a way to make it affordable,” said Cam Johnson, spokesperson for the Cox Southeast region.
