On October 13 2014 at about 11AM a F2 tornado ripped through my neighborhood. There was a lot of damage. Fortunately though there was no loss of life. There still is a lot of rebuilding to be done, but at least the streets are cleared and the power is back on.
Through this I continued to work my job at the hospital. I am considered to be critical staff. I was lucky. There, I had a place to charge my cellphone.
We had the Governor come through, a Senator, the Red Cross and other agencies. The streets were barricaded for several days, at times even to residents. I had power at the studio but no way to process and upload any photographs I might take.
In my spare time I did a little urbexing and I learned to use my flickr app to take and upload photos to keep my 365 alive. While it wasnt the usual Studio d’Xavier fare I appreciate everyone who visited and commented. You helped keep me going and you brought me some joy in a trying time.
As soon as I get internet access I will return to my usual crazy standard.
Thank you.
