One of the biggest problems that Internet marketers encounter when first starting out is that they don’t have the money they need to get some of the things they need to run their business. Well, there is actually a very simple way to get around this problem. It’s something that’s been around almost since the beginning of time. It’s called bartering. This article is going to explain just what bartering is, for those who don’t know, and how to go about bartering online for the products and services that you need. After reading this, you should have all the info that you’ll need in order to become a bartering expert.
Bartering is the process of exchanging one product or service for another product or service in which no money actually changes hands. An example would be a person knocking on his next door neighbors door and offering to give him his lawn mower for his snow blower.
The problem most people encounter with bartering is that the product or service they need has more value than the product or service they’re willing to trade. When this happens, it’s sometimes hard to pull the barter off. That’s when you have to use a little ingenuity.
One way to get around this is to offer future goods or services. While the person isn’t getting the product right away, knowing that he is going to get it some time down the road may just be enough to get him to agree to the exchange. If you’re bartering your first product in exchange for say, web hosting, you might agree to give the person your second product when it comes out as well.
Sometimes you have to do what is called three way bartering. This is where you need product A from John Doe but John Doe needs product C, which you don’t have. However, Jane Smith has product C and just happens to need YOUR product B. So what you do is exchange your product B for Jane Smith’s product C and then trade that to John Doe for his product A. Trades like this take a little thought, but they can easily be pulled off if you put your mind to it.
By engaging in the process of bartering, there is no reason why you can’t get just about any product or service that you need. The key is giving more value than what you’re getting. If you do this, there is practically no exchange that you can’t pull off.
To YOUR Success,
