I sometimes forget how much time the actual consumer goes through to find a High Speed Internet Provider. Here’s a few comparisons and what to look for that may shorten your calls to Internet Providers. Cable providers usually have Internet speeds around 5 Megabytes (5,000 Kilobytes). Hi Speed DSL Providers usually require a Phone Line with Internet Speeds up to 3 Megabytes (3,000 Kilobytes).

Hi Speed DSL Providers speed and prices vary as to whether or not bundled services would be required (Phone and Internet Bundle) which some do require. You will need a phone line regardless so be sure  factor that into your budget.

Verizon Fios Internet and ATT Uverse Bundles will provide you all 3 services TV, phone, and internet at high speeds depending on your area.

Air Card Internet Providers / Wireless DSL Providers (speed Unknown) Depending on your distance from a cell tower this may or may not be a good choice for an internet provider. These cards can carry set up fees credit checks and data allotments. If excessive data is used the company can charge you amounts in similar to those of a cell phone

Satellite Internet

There are two popular Satellite Internet Dishes. One offers speeds of 512 kilobytes to 1.5 Megs (10’s -30 x’s Faster than Dial Up). The other offers Speeds of 1 Megabyte (1000 Kiloytes) to 5 Megabytes (5000 Kilobytes) and is priced accordingly. When it comes to reliability you need to really think about whom you want to rely and depend on as your provider. Satellite Internet has been making great strides in step with stimulus money in an attempt to make Satellite Internet more competitive with Land line based Internet.

To sum it up place these calls in order when looking for Hi Speed Internet.

There is a quite a comparison of speeds

Cable (3-5 Megs), DSL (3-1.5 Megs), then Satellite, (512Kbs -1.5 Megs)  as an option to any cable provider not faster than 3 Megs. Your option if no Cable Internet provider or DSL Internet Provider is available should be a Satellite Internet Provider. Recent Add ons from dialup providers have not reached speeds close to what satellite offers.

Your day is going to consist of 2-3 hours of hold times and answering questions re. usage. I just figured I’d help you find a High-speed Internet provider. As a dealer of internet service if you prefer you can reach me at the link attached I would be more than happy to assist you.
