NAB says a major outage of its online banking services which impacted thousands of customers has been resolved.
Customers started experiencing issues about 3.15pm AEST on Saturday, according to the outage monitoring website, Down Detector.
“Connection Failed,” a message on the bank’s app read. “We’re having trouble connecting. Give it a minute and have another go.”

It was later updated to: “We’re sorry, the app isn’t working at the moment. We’ll have it back up and running as soon as we can.”
One person tweeted: “How are you supposed to access/transfer money on the weekend??”
In response to a separate customer on Twitter, NAB wrote: “We are currently experiencing an outage with logging into the NAB mobile banking app and it has already been escalated to our technology team with high importance.”
A NAB spokesperson confirmed to 7NEWS.com.au that it was “experiencing some issues with internet banking”.
“We’re sorry for the inconvenience this is causing our customers,” the spokesperson said.
“Our ATMs, phone banking, Apple Pay and cards are operating as normal. Our teams are working hard to fix this as quickly as possible, and we’ll continue to keep customers updated.”
Just after 7pm, the spokesperson confirmed all internet banking services were back online.
