Lower Moreland PD Now Safe Internet Sales Meetup Location

LOWER MORELAND, PA —The Lower Moreland Police Department is now a safe location for folks to meet up with those they meet online for Internet sales.

The local department says it is now officially a “Safe Internet Sales Meetup Location,” and it has installed a signpost in its parking lot telling people where they could meet up to engage in face-to-face sales that originated online.

“We ask that our residents utilize this location if they are concerned for any reason when conducting internet arranged sales,” the police department stated on its Facebook page.

Police say anyone wanting to use the space to conduct business should tell sellers or buyers that they can meet at the spot, which is located in the police department driveway that runs between the police and fire department buildings.

Anyone interested in using the spot is asked to call the police station at 215-947-3132 upon arrival so that a police official could monitor the cameras that cover that area of the parking lot.
