The orders have been issued by the principal secretary, home affairs and justice, Punjab.
All telecom services providers in the state and the head of BSNL (Punjab jurisdiction) have been directed to ensure compliance.
The decision has been taken to thwart the designs and activities of anti-national and anti-social groups and maintain peace and communal harmony and prevent any loss of life or damage to public or private property.
