Rajasthan: Internet services resumed in Jodhpur; curfew relaxation of 12 hours from May 9 | Jaipur News

JAIPUR/JODHPUR: People in Jodhpur were elated when after an eight hour relaxation in the curfew the internet services were resumed on Sunday at 4 pm.
Many shared messages of their well being and went for status updates on social media. Also, an eight hour relaxation in the curfew also went off peacefully.
Internet services resumed almost after five days in Jodhpur since the Jalori gate area of Jodhpur had witnessed violence.
Senior police officers of Jodhpur have warned the public not to share any provocative or instigative messages on social media. “Anyone who shares any such messages would be brought to the books,” said an officer of Jodhpur police.
Earlier, in the day people in numbers came to shop for grocery, milk, vegetables, fruits and other essentials as the administration had given a relaxation of eight hours in the curfew since 8am. A large number of police is deployed in the areas which curfew was imposed in Jodhpur.
Taking the optimum use of the curfew relaxation many visited their friends and family members in the city.
“During the relaxation in the curfew no incident was reported and it went off peacefully. Thus on Monday we have decided to give a relaxation in the curfew from 7am to 7pm,” said an officer.
More than 200 people have been arrested so far and nearly 24 FIRs were lodged by the Jodhpur police in connection to the violence that was triggered over putting up of a religious flag on the eve of Eid, early this week.
