HAGERSTOWN, Md. – As several residents voice their concerns about not having more choices for internet providers, a local student gathered the community to explore more options.
Residents of Hagerstown and Washington County gathered to discuss issues they’ve experienced with the local internet provider, Antietam Broadband. Apart from sharing complaints, the community talked about how they could bring in other providers into the Hagerstown and the surrounding communities.
“You know Antietam has dominated the county for a long time. It hasn’t been reliable, they haven’t been reliable,” said Cherish Marriott, “I just want to give them the options, the resources, to potentially bring in a new provider to the area.”
The crowd discussed plans to bring their concerns to a future Hagerstown City Council meeting.
