State, local officials want Perry County internet speeds to be faster for homes and businesses | Marion News

It’s not just how fast Perry County will get internet connections. It’s also how fast the internet will be when it gets here.

Officials from the company wiring up Perry County’s broadband connection told the Perry County Commission April 12 that they are still working toward having Marion and Uniontown hooked up to the worldwide web by July 1.

Kevin Arvin told commissioners that E-footprint of Pelham has been working with state and county leaders and leaders from Marion and Uniontown for the last 18 months to design a secure wireless broadband system for both municipalities and the unincorporated parts of the county.
