What Will Change on the Internet in Upcoming Years

Reading Time: 3 minutes

The internet world is one of the most dynamic, fast-growing, and fast-changing spaces.

With new technologies and platforms emerging all the time, it can be hard to predict what will happen in the next few years.

However, there are some things that are likely to change on the internet in upcoming years.

Here are some of them:

1. Machines might take over your job

More and more tools are capable of doing manual tasks, and they’re starting to gain mastery over high-level and intellectual tasks like writing.

Combined with the ubiquity of the Internet, these apps will make it so that less work and more resources are directly available.

This might cause a shift in the job market, resulting in cost-savings for companies and a loss of jobs.

In fact, a 2019 statistic showed that machines might displace 20 million manufacturing jobs by 2030.

This is possible because these apps are powered by artificial intelligence, which can function with greater speed and accuracy than any human being.

2. Smart browsers will become more and more popular

Traditional browsers have not changed a lot since they were created. The new era smart browsers are already getting lots of attention and their popularity will grow.

One good example of a smart browser is the Stackbrowser.

As more people are now working from home, the demand for more productive apps and tools will also increase.

Unfortunately, traditional browsers aren’t designed for productivity — even organizing your own space is a hassle.

But with Stackbrowser, cards (similar in function to tabs) are aligned side-by-side, can be stacked together, and stacks can be grouped into spaces.

Stackbrowser also has a feature that traditional browsers haven’t been able to replicate — the feature to open as many accounts of a website or app all at once.

That’s because Stackbrowser allows you to open multiple instances of the same website or app, which allows you to open and use multiple accounts simultaneously.

Speaking of features, how about a shortcut feature that could take you anywhere within the browser?

Think of it as the mother of shortcuts. No need to familiarize yourself with dozens of shortcuts when all you need is one switch to go anywhere.

These features would make smart browsers even more popular in the upcoming years as more people realize the limits of the traditional browser they’re using.

3. More things to be integrated with the internet

Already, the “Internet of Things” connects refrigerators, alarm clocks, and various other household appliances.

In the upcoming years, that connection will extend to vehicles, wallets, health monitors, and probably anything electric you can think of.

This will create a more seamless experience for users and give companies a better understanding of how their products are used.

It will also allow for more targeted advertising and, in some cases, increase the price of goods.

This could benefit the masses as well. For example, imagine you’re in a hospital and your health data is being collected by the hospital.

If there’s an issue with your health, the hospital will be able to send you a notification that will help you get the care that you need.

The advancements in technology and the constant innovations make it challenging to predict what will happen next, but there are some things that we can be sure of.

On the other hand, these changes all have one thing in common — to make our lives easier, more productive, and more convenient.
