Ziply set to unveil new fiber-optic internet network

Ziply Fiber announced this week that the ultra-high-speed, 100% fiber-optic network it has been building in Mukilteo is now ready for service.

The new service is available to more than 1,000 residences and businesses in the city for the first time.

The company said it will continue working on building its residential internet service over the next several weeks. By the time the company’s construction is complete, Ziply Fiber will have built fiber connectivity to nearly 3,000 locations and give area residents access to Ziply Fiber’s ultra-fast fiber Internet and phone services.

“Ziply Fiber is delighted to light-up our fiber-optic network in Mukilteo, bringing thousands of citizens in this beautiful bay-side community internet connectivity at, quite literally, the speed of light,” said Harold Zeitz, CEO of Ziply Fiber. “We look forward to continuing our work within the city, bringing an upgraded network to individual households and the many great businesses and establishments that call Mukilteo home.”

Ziply Fiber’s service has no data caps and no annual contracts for residential users. Those who wish to check their address for fiber availability, or who would like to sign-up to be alerted when fiber internet is available at their home or business, can register at

The work in Mukilteo is part of Ziply Fiber’s commitment to invest more than $500 million over the next two to three years to build an advanced, 100-percent fiber network to both suburban and rural communities across the Northwest that have been underserved when it comes to internet access. The company has been actively building fiber across the Northwest since June 2020 and has plans to build and deploy new fiber-optic cables, local hubs, new offices, and new hardware to run the network as part of hundreds of additional projects across its 250,000-square-mile footprint.

Ziply Fiber’s primary service offerings are Fiber Internet and phone for residential customers, Business Fiber Internet and Ziply Voice services for small businesses, and a variety of Internet, networking, and voice solutions for enterprise customers. The company will continue to support Ziply Internet (DSL) customers, and its TV customers in Washington and Oregon. A full listing of products and services can be found at
