The Destiny 2 Weekly Reset time begin later today and will wipe clean all players progress from various events on PS4, Xbox and PC.
This will be the fifth reset since the Forsaken expansion went live, meaning there are only hours left before everything is reset.
Bungie will be resetting Destiny 2 on Tuesday, October 16, at around 6pm in the UK.
For players in the United States, it means a much earlier reset time of 10am PST and 1pm EST.
And this week’s reset may run a little differently as we have a returning event being released on all platforms.
All Destiny 2 players, not just Forsaken expansion owners, will be able to join in on the Festival of the Lost.
This years is a little different with the fall of Cayade-6 but will still come with New Triumphs to earn, and Holliday daily bounties to complete.
Fragmented Souls will be the reward, which can be used to purchase Festival of the Lost masks, as well as the Horror Story Legendary Auto Rifle.
The game will also see a makeover with the new release, including spooky violet candles.
Here’s what else Bungie has planned for their seasonal event, telling fans: “This year, Festival of the Lost brings more than just masks.
“For a limited time, all players of Destiny 2 are invited to the Haunted Forest. Guardians have been tasked with clearing out its ghouls and demons, which are spooking up a storm.
“You’ll have 15 minutes to dive as deep as you can into the Haunted Forest and clear out the Nightmares lying in wait. Be wary—the deeper you go, the more difficult your job will become.”
Alongside the Festival of the Lost rewards from Amanda Holliday and the Festival of the Lost Triumphs, players will earn an Ephemeral Engram every time they fill their XP bar after achieving the max character level.
There will be an update to download and downtime before the weekly reset begins, so fans will need to be ready for a little disruption.
DESTINY WEEKLY RESET
As usual, the weekly reset will affect various activities in the game, such as:
Progress and rewards connected to Destination Flashpoints, Raid Challenges, Raid Checkpoints, Nightfall Strike, Weekly Clan Engrams, Weekly Clan XP Caps, Eververse Bright Dust and Prismatic Matrix Selections.
There will also be hard resets made to the Spider’s Wanted Bounty line-up, and Xur will disappear again until Friday.
So as a recap, the official Destiny 2 weekly reset affects Nightfall Strikes and the ongoing Raid, and also acts as the countdown to complete these tasks.
If you complete them before the reset, you will have to wait until the following Tuesday to start them again and collect new rewards.
This is also when a lot of the game’s milestones get refreshed, which means weekly challenges, destination Flashpoints, call to arms, clan XP and clan XP rewards.
