If Dubai could be built over mere sand and is one of the richest countries in the world today – why not make the most of the country we’ve been blessed with?
So why Dubai – its not exactly Port Au Prince, Lagos, Accra or many of the other stops on the Future Tech Summit tour? But much like those other cities, there are big gaps between government official mandates and the tech ecosystem. This team has been on the ground in Dubai since 2013 – hosting smaller events like the She Dares Summit, specifically for women interested in accelerating Dubai’s future through entrepreneurship.
The Future Tech Summit plans are big – this is a multi-year commitment for an annual event to 2030. The summit teaches fundamentals of future technology, leading social impact applications of future tech and startup development strategies around AI, VR, Nanotechnology, Space Tech and Blockchain.

I wrote a post about attending the Haiti Tech Summit – and its focus on providing a brighter future for Haiti and the Caribbean. I’m really impressed by the founders, Christine Souffrant Ntim and Einstein Ntim’s focus and determination.
