Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in free fall entering Wallace Wade Stadium – BallDurham

10/11/2019 by admin

The Duke Football team will host the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets who are in a complete free fall as they enter Wallace Wade Stadium.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are 1-4 entering Wallace Wade Stadium to take on the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday afternoon.

Georgia Tech was able to defeat the University of South Florida but lost to Clemson, Temple, The Citadel, and North Carolina.

Three respectable teams in college football and a team that is know for getting drilled by the Alabama Crimson Tide at the end of last season.

With new head coach Geoff Collins, the Yellow Jackets are no longer running the triple-option offense and have struggled tremendously on offense, averaging just 15.2 points per game, with 10 total touchdowns in five games.

It’s been a revolving door at the quarterback position this season for the Yellow Jackets but it seems as if James Graham as taken a strangle on things.

The freshman signal caller is completing just 46.4% of his passes for a total of 363 yards this season in addition to just three touchdowns and three interceptions.

While not a triple-option team this season, Georgia Tech still makes it living running the football as running back Jordan Mason has 319 yards this season and five touchdowns.

Only three wide receivers have eclipsed the 100-yard mark this season in Ahmarean Brown, Jalen Camp, and Malachi Carter. Brown leads the way with 160 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions while Camp has seven receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown.

Carter is the team’s receptions leader with 11 in addition to his 101 yards and one touchdown.

The Georgia Tech defense hasn’t been much better than its struggling offense as the team is allowing 30.2 points per game.

Duke and Georgia Tech will kickoff at 12:30pm EST on Saturday, October 12 from Wallace Wade Stadium as the game can be seen on ACC Network Extra and your Regional Sports Network.
