Ivy Tech Community College officials at Batesville and Lawrenceburg sites promoted College Go! and Application Week by visiting area high schools during the week of Sept. 23-27: Batesville, East Central, Franklin County, Jac-Cen-Del, Lawrenceburg, Milan, Rising Sun, South Dearborn, South Ripley and Oldenburg Academy.
College Go! provides students the opportunity to research, prepare, visit and apply for college, whereas College Application Week aims to increase the number of first-generation and low-income students who pursue education after high school. Ivy Tech presenters shared information about degree programs, such as Transfer as a Sophomore, Transfer as a Junior, IvyTech2NKU and ASAP.
Ivy Tech Community College is now accepting applications for fall 2020. Seniors who complete Ivy Tech’s free application through Dec. 13 will be entered to win an iPad Air and wireless keyboard.
Home-schooled students, as well as students from Greater Cincinnati and northern Kentucky high schools are encouraged to apply as well. Students and families with questions should contact Sammie Hardebeck, Ivy Tech-Batesville, at [email protected]; or Allie Lay, Ivy Tech, Lawrenceburg, at [email protected].
