Neutral-site games against last season’s national runner-up Texas Tech and in-state rival Western Kentucky were included in the 2019-20 nonconference schedule released Thursday by Louisville’s men’s basketball program.
A week after hosting Michigan on Dec. 3 in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge, Louisville will face Texas Tech in the Jimmy V Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Louisville’s series with WKU picks up Nov. 29 with a game at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Bellarmine, in its final season as an NCAA Division II program, will again serve as Louisville’s preseason exhibition opponent.
Following that, the Cards will open its ACC schedule and the regular season with the same game, a Nov. 5 date at Miami to be televised on the new ACC Network. It will mark the first time Louisville has ever opened its season with a conference game.
