HANGZHOU, CHINA- Kujiale.com, the parent of Coohom, a 3D visualization company with U.S. home furnishings customers, has raised a new round of funding that marks the company’s entry into the unicorn club at a valuation of over $1 billion.
“Over the past eight years, we’ve been proud to be able to make the home decor industry chain easier and more efficient with our technology,” said Victor Huang, co-founder and executive chairman of Kujiale.com. “We will continue to focus on developing cutting-edge technologies in computer science in the future and accelerate the digitalization of the home furnishings market around the world.”
The round of funding will be used to improve the software platform and enhance the ability to provide digital solutions for the home furnishings industry, according to the company, which aims to build an open ecosystem for the industry to help companies with both e-commerce and brick-and-mortar storefronts to deliver the best omnichannel shopping experiences.
Coohom’s platform includes products for 3D product configuration, automated imagery, floor planning tools and also mixed reality experiences including augmented and virtual reality. Additionally, the funding will help with expansion overseas, including the U.S. market.
Hillhouse Capital Group led the funding round with participation from previous investors Shunwei Capital and GGV Capital. To continue its expansion, the company has opened offices in Singapore and Malaysia and will open its first U.S. office next month.
