The Gun Violence Reduction Team was on patrol in the Lloyd District Friday
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Guns, drugs, and cash sum up the findings of the Gun Violence Reduction Team’s bust on Friday night in Portland’s Lloyd District.
What started as a traffic stop during a patrol near Holladay Park quickly escalated into a full search and seizure when officers said they discovered the driver, Noah Goldman, had meth in the car with him.
The 37-year-old was arrested at the corner of NE 12th Avenue and NE Lloyd Blvd, which happens to be nearby Benson Polytechnic High School. Officers searched his car, and later, his home. In total, authorities uncovered meth, heroin, cash, a scale and packaging, and 2 guns, according to the Portland Police Bureau’s GVRT.
Goldman was booked in the Multnomah County jail on multiple drug charges related to the possession and delivery of controlled substances near a school. There were also charges of felon in possession of a firearm and tampering with physical evidence, said PPB.
