Clearwater Analytics, a Boise-based firm that helps companies with financial software solutions, could soon find new owners.
Reuters reports the company started exploring a sale that could value the firm at $2 billion. The news agency cited ‘people familiar with the matter’ in its story. David Boren, Micahel Boren and Douglas Bates founded the company in 2004.
It operates its headquarters in a custom-designed building in Downtown Boise at the corner of Main St. and Capitol Blvd. It employs about 1,000 people worldwide, and also operates offices in New York, the UK and India.
Reuters said a sale is one possible outcome – though it could also launch an initial public offering or some type of recapitalization.
Clearwater didn’t comment to Reuters on the possible changes in its business.
