Zuckerberg to be a dad
Now that his first issue, Facebook, has reached double digits (it was founded in 2004), Mark Zuckerberg has the time to raise a human child. The tech genius and social-media magnate on Friday said he and wife Priscilla Chan are expecting a baby girl.
Things haven’t been easy for the couple. “We want to share one experience to start,” Zuckerberg said on his Facebook page. “We’ve been trying to have a child for a couple of years and have had three miscarriages along the way.”
Zuckerberg, who said sharing private stories unites people, added, “We hope that sharing our experience will give more people the same hope we felt and will help more people feel comfortable sharing their stories as well.”
Three guests left for Stewart
Jon Stewart, who ends his Daily Show tenure Thursday, has announced his final three guests. Amy Schumer will join him on Monday, Denis Leary on Tuesday, and Louis C.K. on Wednesday. The final night will most likely feature a cast of thousands as Jon’s friends drop by to say bye-bye.
“I can’t wait to show my appreciation for all the support and enthusiasm that you guys have given the show all these years,” Stewart said on Friday.
Helen Mirren, times four
To commemorate Dame Helen Mirren‘s 70th birthday, Madame Tussauds in London has unveiled two new wax statues of the great actress – one to mark her role in Prime Suspect, the other for her Oscar-winning turn in The Queen. The museum now has three Mirrens. Well, four if you count the live Mirren who posed with her effigies Thursday.
