The Boston Red Sox are the latest Major League Baseball team to launch a Spanish version of their website.
The club debuted losredsox.com on April 21, and the site features game recaps, Spanish translations of stories from MLB.com beat reporters and segments of “El Reporte De Los Red Sox,” Boston’s official weekly Spanish-language show.
Losredsox.com also live streams radio broadcasts of games with Red Sox Spanish Beisbol Network play-by-play announcer Uri Berenguer.
“We are excited to engage fans through this new channel of communication,” Red Sox senior vice president of marketing and brand development Adam Grossman said. “With nine Spanish-speaking players on our active roster and a growing Spanish-speaking fan base in New England and around the world, creating a website that brings adults and children closer to the game is important to us.”
With the addition of losredsox.com, the Red Sox become the 12th MLB team with a Spanish website.
