Featuring a number of new features to make it more user-friendly, the new site is available to preview ahead of the launch at https://friscolibrary.bibliocms.com.
“You can sign up—set up your own profile,” Library Director Shelley Holley said during the Jan. 7 Frisco City Council meeting. “You can set it up so that events at the library can be fed onto your calendar. You can post comments and reviews. You can save lists of books you’ve read or want to read.”
Holley explained the new site will also give expert recommendations as well as personalized suggestions for similar titles when a library patron requests a popular title that is not immediately available.
“Those are all new features that will be offered in the new website,” Holley said.
The redesign is also slated to make the site easier to use for those visiting it on a mobile device.
